I have chosen Mr. Kelada.

Dear diary

Today I had a bet that was about pearls. Now as I told you I'm going to japan to exam pearls and find out if they are real or fake. The bet I had was with Mr. Ramsay. The bet was about Mrs. Ramsay's neckless. I was and I steal am sure that the neckless was real although Mr. Ramsay thought that the neckless wasn’t real. So I took the neckless and I took a really good look at it and it was real. But when I was just about to say that it was real I saw Mrs. Ramsay face. Her look was so worried that I couldn’t say the truth. And that’s how I lost 100$.

Bridging Text and Context

I have chosen quote 1.

The quote means that when we judge someone from his appearance we cant see his personality

first example: In the story the narrator judges Mr. Kelada from his appearance which helps me understand the quote because when the narrator judges Mr. Kelada from his appearance he couldn’t see his personality.

Second example: in the story, when Mr. Kelada made a bet with Mr. Ramsay, Mr. Kelada says that he was wrong although it was hard for him. What changes the way the narrator think about Mr. Kelada because Mr. Kelada said that he was wrong for Mrs. Ramsay which make the quote clearer because before that everyone on the ocean liner didn’t like Mr. Kelada because of his appearance and a little part of his personality and after that the narrator understands his full personality.
