Working or studying in a group can be better than doing so alone – 3 argument for and 3 arguments against:

For:

Working in a group can give each student less work.

Studying in a group can give other opinions on the subject.

Against:

When working in a group there can be a situation that 1 person is doing everything.

When working in a group the teacher cant always grade the student based on his knowledge.

Sometimes teachers give students tasks the students need to complete in groups or by themselves. There are many arguments that supports studying in group and there are other arguments that doesn’t. the question is weather working and studying in groups is good for learning.

Firstly working in a group can create a situation where one student is doing the work of 5 student all by himself. Its really bad because the teacher cant supervise 7 groups of 5 students and make sure that everyone is working and not only one person in each group.
