Test on the story The Veldt

Test on the story The Veldt

I chose task number 1.

Interviewer: We are here with Wendy. Wendy here grew up with a kind of smart house. Is that right Wendy?

Wendy: It is. My childhood house did everything for me, it made the food we were eating, it cleaned our clothes and even washed the dishes all on his own.

Interviewer: It can sound like your childhood was easy. Would you say your childhood was easy or that it was tough growing up in a house that literally do anything for you?

Wendy: I would say the hard part was saying goodbye to the house and hello to the orphanage. When I was on my first day in there, I thought it was normal, I thought every house can do what our house did. At first I tried to ask my room to clean my clothes, obviously my room didn’t respond in any way. It was hard having to go from doing nothing to doing everything on my own.

Interviewer: You say that you grew up in an orphanage. Can you tell me what happened to your parents?

Wendy: My parents died.

Interviewer: Can you please tell us more about it?

Wendy: My parents died in a room inside the house. The authorities don’t know much about what happened.

Interviewer: What can kill you when you are alone in a room? Were they murdered by a criminal or was it an accident?

Wendy: The room was kind of a room that project holograms. The holograms were connected to my brother's and my imagination.

Interviewer: So you are saying that this room was able to create an environment based on your brother's and your imagination?

Wendy: Yes. One day the room probably had a bug on its software. The room projected rouge animals that killed my parents. It's not very convenient for me talking about this subject.

Interviewer: Its okay. We are about to run out of time. Thank you very much for the interview Wendy. I would like to talk to you and know you further but I am afraid we ran out of time. I am very sorry. Have a nice day!

Wendy: you too!
